HOW YOU CAN HELP
1. Spay or neuter your pets. We can assist you with transportation to the vet and help lower your costs.
2. Keep your kitty indoors out of harms way. Especially in our mountain area, wildlife is a serious threat to your cat's safety.
3. Help control the stray and feral cat population with trap/neuter/return (TNR). We have traps available for loan, will coordinate the spay/neuter, and assist with return of feral cats and adoption of strays. If feral cats cannot be returned to the same location, we also will help relocate them.
4. Volunteer your time to assist us. There is a lot to do every day to care for the cats and our facilities. Feeding, cleaning, grooming and providing individual attention to each cat requires many hours each day. In addition, upkeep of the property is a full-time job. Whatever your talents, we have something you can do to help out. We're located in Lebec, California. This is right off interstate 5, 35 miles north of Valencia/Santa Clarita, and 45 miles south of Bakersfield.
5. Adopt or foster a cat or kittens. Can you open your heart and home to shelter a cat or kittens either temporarily or permanently? We have so many to care for, there are times we don't have room for "just one more." Foster homes increase our capacity to help more homeless kitties, and when a permanent home is found, everybody wins!
6. Can you make a donation to help us with food, veterinary costs and utilities? Financial support is needed for monthly expenses. All money raised goes to expenses that directly support the cats. We do not have any paid staff at this time.
7. Would you like to sponsor a cat? Many of the cats we shelter are feral or half-feral and, therefore, not adoptable. Would you be able to make a monthly commitment of $20 to help support one of these cats? Please see photos of some of the cats who need your support.
8. Donate for special projects. We are in need of funds to totally fence our 1 acre property to allow healthy feral cats to free-roam rather than contain them in one of our 7 catteries. Due to the threat from wildlife, particularly bobcats and coyotes, and street traffic, we must keep the cats confined for their safety. We have a fence design from Ventura County Animal Control that will keep wildlife out and the kitties in, but the cost to install the fence is estimated at $10,000. Please help us raise this money.
Remember, your donations are tax deductible.
THANK YOU!
